What is filler?
We mainly use Juvederm and Restylane, and both are made of hyaluronic acid.
“Acid” can sound scary, but hyaluronic acid is a natural substance that your body already has and creates, then slowly loses with normal aging. Fillers come in different thicknesses and viscosities, and choosing the right one for the spot you want treated is our job, so the result looks as natural as possible.
Filler can address volume loss, wrinkles and lost plumpness in the face. Skin becomes more prone to wrinkles as we age, beginning in our 20's and progressing well into our 50's and 60's. Our facial fat pads shift, and we also see depletion and bony resorption. Filler helps restore that volume and the structure we lose.
How much does filler cost?
No two patients are alike, and filler can go in many different areas for many different goals. So your cost depends on what you want to achieve and how much correction you need.
When will I see results?
You will see results right after treatment. Healing takes about 2-10 days, depending on swelling, how much is injected, where it goes and how your body responds. The filler keeps settling for 2 weeks, so plan ahead before a big event or trip!
How long do results last for?
It depends on the area treated, your age, where you are starting from and how many sessions you have had, and some people simply break filler down faster than others. Expect anywhere from 6-18 months.
Will filler make me look like I've "had work done?"

What is the difference between Botox and dermal fillers?
Botox is often used to treat dynamic wrinkles, and fillers are more effective for static wrinkles that are always present. Botox and Dysport (neuromodulators) use naturally occurring bacteria, while dermal fillers use naturally occurring hyaluronic acid. Fillers tend to last a bit longer and tend to be a bit more expensive.
