Botox® Cosmetic is an FDA-approved injectable that can be used to temporarily improve the appearance of forehead wrinkles, wrinkles in between the brows (glabella), and crow’s feet in adults. Botox® uses a form of botulinum toxin to temporarily paralyze muscle activity, which effectively relaxes the muscles and reduces the appearance of wrinkles on the skin. Botox® can also be used to reduce the effects of excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis).

Dysport and Botox are used to treat and prevent wrinkles in adults. These noninvasive injections help to reduce the appearance of wrinkles by relaxing the underlying muscles beneath the skin.

By relaxing and stilling the muscles, the skin above them turns smoother.

Neither treatment gets rid of existing wrinkles for good, but the effects are meant to make wrinkles less noticeable

After your treatment, you may be red at the injection sites for up to 15 minutes. For 4 hours post treatment, we will recommend you do not lay down or exercise. Also, avoid UV exposure for two weeks.

The timing is dependent on the area and units used, but most people see results that last 3 to 4 months. That means with just a few treatments a year, you can stay wrinkle free.
